Visualisers are great resources, they enable teachers to display and magnify children’s work, this can be used to show the children what good examples look like or to allow children to spot where improvements can be made.
Displaying children's work on a visualiser can be used for peer/self-assessment within the classroom as it can be put on the screen during the main part of a lesson for the children to assess and improve. Visualisers can also be used by teachers to model work for children and to share books and readings.
While working in a year 2 classroom I used the visualiser to share childrens work so that they could give their peers work 3stars and a wish and I also used the visualiser to work through SAT practise questions with the class, this allowed me to show the class the techniques they should be using to answer the questions.
